After the nursery and in preparation for housing development the streams through the area had to be routed through culverts. These images are believed to be looking down Neston Drive with the railway line in the background and the Garth Drive area beyond.

It is understood that the culvert was installed in the 1950s and some 10 years later had a major collapse closing Neston Road for several months (yet to be fully confirmed)
