The tree lined estate is bordered in the west by Newton Brook; in the east by fields over which the nursery grounds spread and by Brook Lane in the south. The northern boundary of Newton Township is the smaller brook running east-west.

Brook Field and Spring Field farms shown in the south-east of this map became homes of the large Dicksons family.
